Hello Crafty Friends! I have a beautiful image from Rachel Vass Designs August Release! I used the beautiful “Be Bold” image and my Distress Oxide Sprays.
Here is a complete list of supplies…
- Rachel Vass Designs – Be Bold
- Simon Says Stamp – Rectangle Stitched Die
- Simon Say Stamp – Reverse Sentiments Get Well
- Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape
- Distress Oxide Spray – Wilted Violet
- Distress Oxide Spray – Seedless Preserves
- Distress Water Color Paper
- Darice Foam Strips
- Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock – Card Base
- Tsukineko SPARKLE Sheer Shimmer Spritz
I started by printing the image onto the back of the Distress Water Color Paper using my laser printer. I like to do this at least a few hours before, if not a whole day to allow the laser ink to set before using liquid coloring mediums on it. You can also always heat set the image before getting inky!
I started by misting the paper with water and then began alternating spraying the Distress Oxide Spray – Wilted Violet and Distress Oxide Spray – Seedless Preserves. Once I felt like I had good coverage I WALKED AWAY! Its super important to just leave the image and let it dry and do its thing, So I made another card while it dried! I love how the oxide spray pools and creates all this really awesome visual texture.
Once the image was dry, I grabbed some Tsukineko SPARKLE Sheer Shimmer Spritz and gave it a good covering and again, let it dry. When it was no longer cool to the touch, I grabbed my Simon Says Stamp – Rectangle Stitched Die and cut out a panel. This also helped flatten the image. I added Simon Says Stamp Big Momma Foam Tape to the back, adhered it to the Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock – Card Base and finished it off with a Simon Say Stamp – Reverse Sentiments Get Well that I popped up using Darice Foam Strips.
