Hello! While its fathers day today, I did manage to get a little morning crafting in while the little slept, and the bigger littles entertained themselves. I made a quick and easy shaker card using supplies from the Garden Greetings Card kit! I fell in LOVE with this patterned paper the minute I saw it. Combined with the sequins, I just had to make a shaker card. The Garden Greetings Stamp Set had the perfect circle shaped stamp that was just calling to be used!
I wanted to keep with the gray/silver feel, so I grabbed my Gunmetal Embossing powder, which is going to become a favorite of mine!
I heat stamped the sentiment and then used a cutting board and a knife to cut diagonal lines within the middle of the stamp. Once I had enough I used a pair of sharp scissors to remove the inner area. I then used a piece of clear plastic that I had from a stamp set that I wasn’t using it for. Once I had the clear plastic adhered, I moved onto the foam tape!
I pulled out a Kristina Werner trick and layered up my Big Mama Foam Tape by cutting a long piece and folding it over on its self. I went to town adding it to the back of the paper, making sure to outline the shaker area. I used my EK Success Powder Tool to carefully use on the foam tape edged around the window. This makes sure that the sequins don’t stick to the tape. I then carefully poured the sequins into the hole, and then carefully removed the backing of the tape.
I added a reserve sentiment from the CZDesigns Birthday Sentiments and viola!
