Hello! I am happy to be back in the craftroom after a little hiatus with a family tummy bug. I haven’t had a tummy bug in YEARS so I am glad it was short lived and I am back doing what I love best.
I recently ordered this adorable Whimsy Stamps Set called Sending Sunshine. Although, these rabbits are more fit for easter, I couldn’t pass them up as they are TOO CUTE! I recently purchased some Ohuhu markers off of amazon and I had fun experimenting with them. I don’t have a lot of experience with alcohol markers but I am excited to try and learn how to color with them.
I started with the Gray Rabbit. I used the following Ohuhu Markers to color it.
- Rabbit (CGII00, 0(colorless blender))
- Cheeks (R20)
- Flowers (V030, V020)
For the Brown Rabbit I used
- Rabbit (E280, BR2, BR1)
- Cheeks (R120)
- Flowers (Y3, Y2, YR33)
I then wanted to get inky, so I grabbed some distress oxide ink and got to blending! for the Gray Rabbit card, I used Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Kitsch Flamingo. For the brown rabbit card I used a beautiful unexpected combo of Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet and Festive Berries. Once I let the backgrounds dry a little, I wanted to add some subtle dimension so I added a Simon Says Stamp Stencil Fading Florals.
For the Gray Rabbit, I took Peacock Feathers up into the Cracked Pistachio and into the Kitsch Flamingo. Then I took Cracked Pistachio into the Peacock Feathers. For the Brown Rabbit, I took Festive Berries up into Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet and then used Spun Sugar over Festive Berries.
I finished the card using some Trinity Stamp Jewels (In Rainbow Fish and Gold Matte). Popped on a CZ Design Hugs die viola!
