I started by using the Autumn Branches stencil and some Chroma Glaze – Silver to create a background on a piece of dark gray card stock. I used my Stamp and Stick mat to keep the paper and stencil in place while I swiped the Chroma Glaze over the paper. I set it aside to dry.
I then grabbed the Fall Florals set and a piece of the same card stock. I inked it up using Brutus Monroe – Clear Embossing Ink and sprinkled some Brutus Monroe Embossing Powder – Sterling and then heat set it. I then grabbed my colored pencils and began coloring the images all different colors. when using a dark card stock, I like to start with a light pressured layer of white colored pencil. I then go in lightly with the colors using the light to dark method and then increase my pressure when I am going back to light.
Once I had them all colored, I fussy cut them out. By then my panel was dry so I trimmed it down to a 5.25 x 4 and used a tape runner to adhere it to my card base. I then began layering the images using various layers of foam tape. Once I was happy, I finished the card using some Studio Katia – Satin Silver Pearls. I added a greeting from the stamp set and viola!
