Hello Crafty Friends! Simon has a new release called Holiday Handmade and I was able to play with the new Pine Bouquet Embossing Folder!
Here is a list of supplies used to create this card…
- Simon Says Stamp – Pine Bouquet Embossing Folder
- Simon Says Stamp Dot Tape Roller
- Simon Says Stamp – You Matter Die
- Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma foam Tape
- Tonic Mirror Gold Cardstock
- Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink
- Distress Oxide Spray – Shabby Shutters
- Distress Oxide Spray – Pine Needles
- Distress Oxide Sprays – Speckled Egg
- Distress Water Color Paper
- Gina K Connect Glue
- Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock
- Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb card stock – card base
- White Jewels
I started by cutting down a piece of Distress Water Color Paper to an A2 size. I spritzed it with water to ensure a nice embossed image and ran in through my Simon Says Stamp – Pine Bouquet Embossing Folder. I find that when I spritz the water color cardstock is embosses much better.
Once I had the image embossed, I went to town spraying it with distress oxide sprays. I have the best results for these unique colors by spraying the paper with water BEFORE I start spraying with the Oxide sprays. When I had the the right amount of color added I set the panel to the side to dry.
I went a head and cut the Simon Says Stamp – You Matter Die out of Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock and Tonic Mirror Gold Cardstock for the shadow die. I glued them together using Gina K Connect Glue. I pupped it up using Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma foam Tape.
When the panel had dried, I grabbed my Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink and a foam blender, and VERY gently, used it to buff the white ink onto the high areas of the panel. I wanted to highlight the embossed areas to ensure that they popped against this blue/green background.
I went a head and assembled the card and finished it with some white jewels! Viola!
This is beautiful my friend!!!!!! Love it
