Hello Crafty Friends! I have a wonderful card for you today using the Heat Wave Stencil from Brutus Monroe! I absolutely love stretching my stencils and using them in different ways. Below I give more information about how I created this beautiful card.
Here is a list of supplies I used to make this card…
- Paper
- Yellow Cardstock
- Orange Cardstock
- Coral Cardstock
- Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb card stock – card base
- Stencil
- Pretties/Foil
- Brutus Monroe – Glitter Glaze Fallen Snow
- Glitter Paper in Champagne
- Trinity Gold Coin Confetti
- Sentiment
- Tools
- White Colored Pencil
- Brutus Monroe – Stamp and Stick mat
- Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma foam Tape
I started with cutting all three panels in an A2 sized panel. I then stuck them to my Brutus Monroe – Stamp and Stick mat and grabbed a spatula and some Brutus Monroe – Glitter Glaze Fallen Snow. I placed the stencil in the same spot for all three instances and added the fallen snow to each of the panels.
Once They were dry, I decided where I wanted to cut it and then cut the portions out of each panel.
When I cut the yellow out, I realized it looked like a sun so I started coloring it with a white colored pencil to help it pop. Once I had it all colored in, I added a high light. When I was done, I added some Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma foam Tape to the back and started building my card. I also added foam tape to the orange panel.
Once I had it all adhered, I grabbed the Hello die from the Brutus Monroe Slim Line Dies and cut it out of both white and gold glitter cardstock. I added the white letters into the gold panel by gluing them both onto a thin sheet of computer paper. Once I had everything glued and it was dry, I very carefully cut it out and added it to my card. I finished with some Trinity Gold Coin Confetti sequins and that completed the card!
I love being able to use my stencils in new and exciting ways. Do you have a technique you love with stencils? Let me know in the comments below!
