Hello crafty friends! Today I have my first card for you with my new design team, Maker Forte!
Do you make teacher appreciation cards? I have been trying more than ever this year to show appreciation to all those that I love, and that includes the teachers instructing our youth. One of the really unique items with Maker Forte are the pre printed sentiments that are all ready to go!
Today, I have a Rainbow Blended slimline featuring a Marker Forte Die and Back to School Ephemera showing some love to our teachers. Be sure to check out the video tutorial below! It’s short and sweet!
Here is a list of items I used on the card…
- Ink
- Sentiments
- Pretties
- Basic Supplies and Tools
- Maker Forte: Slim Line Perfect Fold Card Base *Item sent to me for being apart of the design team
- Maker Forte: Crafters Magic Wand – Rainbow Craft Picker and Poker *Item sent to me for being apart of the design team
- SSS: Blending Brushes
- SSS: Holographic Paper
- SSS: Big Mama Foam Tape
- Gina K Connect Glue
I started by using one of the pre folded Slime Line Card bases and folded it in half. I knew I wanted a rainbow blend so I grabbed some dye inks, brushes, and went to town!
Next, I took the Around the Curve die and cut it out of some holographic paper to further enhance that rainbow background. Once I had it cut out, I glued it using a liquid glue and then set it aside to dry.
The Ephemera comes white and black, but its been printed with Toner ink to allow for foiling (which I love!). I turned my Minc Machine on (you can also use a laminator) and grabbed some Silver Deco Foil and foiled the sentiment before adding some green ink onto the sentiment. I used green because I did not include that color in my rainbow on the back of the card so I thought it would be a good edition.
Lastly, I added some foam tape to the back of the sentiment and then some dark gray jewels to finish it off!
