Hello Crafty Friends! I have a new card for you using the December Die of the Month set (along with a few other Spellbinders items.)
Here is a list of items I used to create this card…
- Spellbinders – Large Die of the Month
- Spellbinders – Clear Stamp of the Month
- Spellbinders – Sun Ray Embossing Folder
- Small Crystal Black Rhinestones
- Ohuhu Markers in Rainbow colors
- Brutus Monroe Alabaster Embossing Powder
- Versamark Ink
- Gina K. Connect Glue
- Black Cardstock
- Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock
- Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock – Card base
I started off by cutting the diamond borders out of Neenah 110 lb Card Stock. I did this because I wanted the added dimension that the thicker cardstock would offer. Once I had all 8 cut out, I used the thicker shaped diamond on the background and used my Ohuhu Markers to create a rainbow array. After I was done coloring, I glued the white top layer onto all the colors using Gina K Connect Glue.
I set those aside to ensure that they dried before I tried to adhered them. I went a head and embossed the background using the Sun Ray Embossing folder. I went a head and glued this to my card panel and then set it aside as well to dry. I moved into adding the sentiment. This sentiment is from the Clear Stamp of the Month with the matching Dies. I used the “Be Bold” sentiment and inked it up in Versamark Ink and dusted it with Brutus Monroe embossing powder.
In order to get the dies exactly where I wanted them, I turned them over and got them all lined up and tight together. I then used a piece of clear tape to hold them together. I added my Gina K Connect Glue and once I had a good amount, I turn the borders over and aligned them right where I wanted them and then pressed them down with a clear block. Taping them really helped me be able to manipulate them right into the spot i wanted.
I popped the sentiment up after using the die to cut it out and added some black rhinestones to finish it off!
