Hello Crafty friends! I have another card for you using the Clear Stamp of the Month from Spellbinders! I had so much fun creating this background pattern using these painted like florals from the set. This set also comes with a coordinating die (which I did not use with this card).
Here is a list of supplies I used to create this card…
- Spellbinders – Clear Stamp of the Month
- Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink – Sweets
- Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated ink – Marine
- Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated ink – Seafoam
- Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated ink – Sprout
- Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma Foam Tape
- Small Crystal Baubles
- Brown CardStock
- Plum Cardstock
- Gina K. Connect Glue
- Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock
- Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock – Card base
I started by getting 4 clear blocks to use for the different floral outline images. I then went to work stamping them randomly on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock. I tried to make sure I wasn’t getting them close, but as the paper filled it became hard to determine where each design was!
Once I have them all stamped, I grabbed my die inks and went to work using the solid image to stamp over outlines to add a little bit a color. These solid images are not meant to line up, but to give that loose painted feel to them. I used the same solid image on the same outline image, being sure to mix it up per outline.
When I was done, I remember a card marker saying they use the technique of just “letting them fall” when placing their jewels/sequins/pearls. I had this smaller, all the same sized, iridescent pearls that I decided to try. I added 10-15 into my hand and then just dropped them on the card. What you see below is the outcome, minus the one next to the sentiment as I added that after. It was a fun technique and I would do it again!
I added the sentiment on from the set and popped it up using foam tape.
