Hello crafty friends! I have another card using the Spellbinders Large die of the Month November Club Kit. Have you ever had a card that just… hit you with a love dart?! I don’t know how to explain it completely, but this card I wasn’t sure where it was going when I started, but once I laid the first colored die border onto that green blended background, I gasped!
Here is a list of supplies I used to create this card…
- Spellbinders – Large Die of the Month
- Spellbinders – Clear Stamp of the Month
- Ohuhu Markers
- Gina K. Connect Glue
- Silver Baubles
- Simon Says Stamp – Limelicious
- Simon Says Stamp – Large Blending Brush
- Simon Says Stamp – Mega Ultra Thick Card Stock 130lb
- Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock
- Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock – Card base
I started with creating the background. I used Simon Says Stamp – Limelicious Ink and a Simon Says Stamp – Large Blending Brush and worked a gradient of color onto a sheet of Simon Says Stamp – Mega Ultra Thick Card Stock 130lb (My favorite blending card stock to date!). Once I was happy with the color, I set the panel to the side.
Next, I used the floral die from the Spellbinders – Large Die of the Month. These are are awesome. They are meant to be a slimline, but I wanted to fill an A2 panel with the beautiful creations so I opted out of the slimline. I cut the border out of Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock twice to have the three separate ribbons below. I colored one full set, but for the second one, I just colored the middle of it to create the offset look below. you can sure see it below! Once they were colored, I cut the fully colored one in half and that became my top and bottom ribbon. The one where I just colored the middle, I used in the middle of the card.
I glued the pieces down and then used the sentiment from the Spellbinders – Clear Stamp of the Month “A Gift for You”. I used my MISTI in order to line that stamp up perfectly in the curve of the die, and then sprinkled it with Silver embossing powder. I made sure to let my heat gun get good and hot before melting the powder to avoid warping.
I added the panel to a Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock – Card base, glued on the Silver Baubles, and VIOLA!
