Hello crafty friends! I recently had the opportunity to host a small card making class during my day job’s convention. It was one of the break out sessions for Saturday and let me tell you, I am hooked! I had so much fun interacting with the guests and sharing my love of card making with them. This was one of the cards we made together where I used a couple different items from the Peace on Earth Release.

Here is a list of supplies used to create this card…

I started by cutting a blue card stock panel down 1/8 of an inch smaller than the card base to create a really tiny layer when added to the card base. I then spritz that panel with Tsukineko SPARKLE Sheer Shimmer Spritz and then placed it into my embossing folder, making sure that the shimmer side was facing the way where it was going to be embossed from behind to create that raised panel. I then ran it through my Gemini using the following sandwich – Embossing folder, Magnetic Plate, Clear Plate. I have found that I receive beautiful results when I spritz the paper with either shimmer spray or water lightly.

I then adhered that panel to my Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb card stock – card base and set it aside. Next, I cut the snowflakes using Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock. I LOVE these snowflakes. The HARMONY SNOWFLAKES Wafer Dies are the smallest of the 4 below and they make me smile when I see them!

Once I had them cut I glued them onto the panel being mindful of where I was going to place my sentiment so that I didn’t completely cover one. Once I was happy I glued them down using my Gina K Connect Glue. I then cut the sentiment out of the same blue cardstock and some silver mirror and popped it up using Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma foam Tape! What a beautiful winter themed card for the season!
