- Simon Says Stamp – Large Blending Brushes
- Simon Says Stamp – Laurel Green Ink
- Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma foam Tape
- Simon Says Stamp Dot Tape Roller
- Simon Says Stamp Reverse Sentiments – Christmas
- Thermo Web Champagne Deco Foil
- Distress Oxide Ink – Tumbled Glass
- Distress Oxide Ink – Peeled Paint
- Distress Oxide Ink – Rustic Wilderness
- Distress Ink Spray – White Picket Fence
- Gina K Connect Glue
- Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb card stock – card base
I started by using a panel of Simon Says Stamp Mega Thick 130 lb Card stock and started blending my oxide inks using my Simon Says Stamp – Large Blending Brushes. I started with concentrating Rustic Wilderness as the center. This is where I wanted to place my seal so I wanted the darkest color there, with a glow fading out. I continued blending with next being Peeled Paint then finishing with Tumbled Glass. Since distress oxide reacts with water and I wanted to create a winter scene, I flicked some water droplets onto the paper and let it sit for about 10-15 seconds and then used a paper towel to soak them up.
I set this panel to the side and went to work stamping the winter seal. I used Simon Says Stamp – Laurel Green Ink and then found a matching die to cut it out. I wanted this to be a Christmas card so I grabbed a Christmas sentiment, but felt like the black was too harsh. So I went to foiling! I love using the Reverse Sentiments because they are so easy to cut and add to a card, but also, they foil!!! So I grabbed some Thermo Web Champagne Deco Foil and my MINC machine and viola! I added the seal to the panel with Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma foam Tape
I then used my Distress Ink Spray – White Picket Fence spray to flick white onto my project. I have been experimenting with this as its easier to use then a brush and paint (I should say easier clean up!). I like to unscrew the lid and then tap the straw on my finger to create the splatter. You do have to be a little careful as you can get big drops! This also helped blend the seal to the background a little better. And viola! I love this sort of tunneling effect with how I blended the colors.
