- Simon Says Stamp – Gold Glitter Card stock
- Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma Foam Tape
- Tim Holtz Sidekick Die Cutting Machine
- Kraft Cardstock
- Red Cardstock
- Dark Brown Cardstock
- Gina K. Connect Glue
- Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock
- Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock – Card base
The Spellbinders – Large Die of the Month is FULL of dies. if I had to guess close to or over 20 different dies in this bundle to create florals, a bird, balloons, circles, and so much more! I had so so much fun playing with this kit to make a couple cards for you.
I started by creating the bird. I am a bird watcher, so I wanted to recreate one of the birds that frequents my feeders – the house finch. So I started but cutting various color cardstock in my Tim Holtz Sidekick Die Cutting Machine. This machine is a game changer for these small little building dies. I can use it right at my craft table, vs. my larger Gemini that I have plugged in at my tools station.
After cutting the bird out I assembled it using Gina K. Connect Glue. I covered it in Tonic Nuvo – Clear Glitter Gloss and set it aside to cut the circles. I really loved these circles cause not only do they cut out, they also have an option for an emboss. Its such a nice added texture! After cutting out the various sizes in Kraft, I moved to cutting out the glitter ones as well without the inner embossing circle.
I then cut out the florals using Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card stock, which die cuts beautifully. I assembled them using Gina K. Connect Glue again.
When I was done, I arranged the circles and began building them by either gluing them or using Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma Foam Tape to pop them up all over. Once I was happy with it, I used the branch die and cut it out of Dark Brown card stock and added the bird and florals.
Also include in this bundle are these beautifully scripted shadow backed sentiments. I added that to finish the card off!
