Hello Crafty Friends! I have a new Spellbinders card for you today using the Spellbinders – Die of the Month Large for August! I had a lot of fun with this one, adding in the Spellbinders – Stamp of the Month to help accent it.
Here is a list of the supplies…
- Spellbinders – Die of the Month Large
- Spellbinders – Stamp of the Month
- Simon Says Stamp Ink – Blue Jay
- Simon Says Stamp Ink – Duckling
- Simon Says Stamp Ink – Hydrangea
- Neenah Solar White 80 lb Card Stock
- Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock – Card Base
- Copic Multi Liner
- Painters Tape
- Gina K Amalgam Ink
- Gina K Connect Glue
- White Wood pattered paper
I started by using the largest die to cut out Spellbinders – Die of the Month Large, which gives this lovely chicken wire effect. I used my Painters Tape to mask off the hexagons to the left and the right of the middle. This way, I could stamp on them and not get ink on the latticed part. Once I had them masked, I used the Spellbinders – Stamp of the Month and stamped the outlined floral part in Gina K Amalgam Ink. I then used the parts to fill in the florals and my Simon Says Stamp inks in Blue Jay, Hydrangea, and Duckling. When I was done I removed the mask and grabbed a sentiment from the set and used my Gina K Amalgam Ink to stamp it in the middle of the hexagon. I thought it was missing something, so I used a Copic Multi Liner to create some dots for interest. I finished the card by gluing it to a piece of white wood paper and then backed onto a card base!
