Hello Crafty Friends! I am here today bringing you a beautiful stencil card that was inspired by a recent Simon Says Stamp Facebook live where Nina Marie Trapani made a 5 minute stencil card. She used three colors of Simon Says Stamp Ink and I was IN LOVE! So I had to make a card using them! I purchased all these items with my personal money. No items to make this card were given to me.
I used the following products on this card…
- Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink – Hot Mama
- Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink – Hot Lips
- Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink – Lemon Zing
- Simon Says Stamp – 130 lb Mega Thick Card Stock
- Simon Says Stamp Stencil Tumbling Leaves
- Simon Says Stamp Sweet Tulip Wafer Die
- Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die
- Simon Says Stamp Tape Runner
- Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips Reverse Get Well
- **New** Simon Says Stamp Blender Brushes
- Simon Says Stamp – Vellum
- Crafter’s Companion LOW TACK TAPE
- Nuvo Black Glossy Paper
- Hero Arts Black Cardstock
- Gina k Connect Glue
I started by cutting my Simon Says Stamp – 130 lb Mega Thick Card Stock to a 4.2 x 5.5 panel. I then grabbed the Simon Says Stamp Stencil Tumbling Leaves and place the panel onto the back of the stencil and used the Crafter’s Companion LOW TACK TAPE to tape the panel to the back of the stencil. This, for me, does a decent job of not having the stencil move. I do use Pixie Spray occasionally, but to be honest, I forgot I had it! Once I had it taped, I flipped it over and got to blending!
I started with Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink – Hot Mama, which usually I start with the lightest color and work my way to dark, but I got so excited to see this color on the paper that I threw that “rule” out the window! I continued to blend using Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink – Hot Lips next, and finished it with Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink – Lemon Zing. I just LOVE the way these colors blending. they are absolutely stunning!
Once I was done with the blending, I decided I wanted to cut the panel down, so I used my Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die which adds a little bit of oomph to the panel. Since I was cutting things out, I grabbed my Nuvo Black Glossy Paper and cut out the Simon Says Stamp Sweet Tulip Wafer Die from it. I backed this beautiful die with a piece of Simon Says Stamp – Vellum, making sure not to get too heavy handed with my Gina k Connect Glue since you can see liquid glue on vellum. I loved the look of the black so I added the Hero Arts Black Cardstock to help that tulip die pop. Finished the card with a Hello Sunshine from the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Strips Reverse Get Well.
Absolutely love how this card came together. And while it look a little longer than the 5 minutes it too Nina Marie, I was super happy with how it turned out!
