Hello! I have another card for you today using the Do What it Cakes Stamp Set! For this lovely card, I wanted to focus on the beautiful floral arrangements that are included. It has also been a while since I used my Tonic Nuvo Shimmer Powders.
Here are the supplies I used on this card…
- Simon Says Stamp – Do What it Cakes Stamp Set
- Tonic Nuvo Shimmer Powder – Catherine Wheel
- Navy Cardstock
- Simon Says Stamp – Paper Hugs Die
- Simon Says Stamp – Gold Glitter Paper
- Simon Says Stamp – Big Momma Foam Tape
- Distress Water Color Cardstock
- Embossing Powder – Ranger Princess Gold
- Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock
- Gina K Connect Glue
I started by embossing a whole bunch of the florals onto the back of a Distress Water Color Cardstock using the Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder. Once I had a decent amount, I grabbed my water spritzer and spritz the paper before tapping (and I mean gently tapping) my Tonic Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Catherine Wheel onto the cardstock. Once I had the desired coverage, I set the panel out to air dry. I really believe that air drying is super key when using these powders. Its all about the organic nature of the powders and allowing them to air dry is key for this look.
While they dried, I went to work cutting out the Simon Says Stamp – Paper Hugs Die from Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock (three times) and Simon Says Stamp – Gold Glitter Paper (once). I glued them all together to bump the sentiment up with a slight offset to help the glitter cardstock stand out.
I then fussy cut all the florals out and went to work arranging them just perfectly onto the card. Once I was happy, I glue them down using my Gina K Connect Glue. I added the same glue to the back of the hugs die and finished!
