Hello! I am bringing to you today some rainbow goodness from the Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit of the Month. I had so much fun playing with this kit and I’m not done!
I love black with rainbow. When I saw this beautiful stripped paper, I wanted to create a emboss resist with clear embossing powder and then using ink to black out the pattern. So I set my stamps up on the paper how I wanted and inked it up in versamark and stamped it on the paper. I then used Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Powder and then heat set it until clear. I then grabbed my Distress Oxide Ink Black Soot and started blending the color on using a Foam Dome that was included in the kit. I quickly figured out it wasn’t as blacked out as I wanted. So I focused on blacking out around and in between the rainbow and then cut it out.
I splattered some white Acrylic onto a piece of Black Simon Says Stamp Cardstock and then poped the rainbow up using my Big Mama Foam Tape. I then used a couple clouds from the Stamp Set and embossed them using white embossing powder and then fussy cut them out. I added a sentiment strip from and called it a day!
