Hello! I had fun playing with my new Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit of the Month bringing you this beautiful rainbow dandelion card.
I started off using a piece of the 110lb Neenah Solar white cardstock that was included in the kit. I cut it down to 4.25 x 5.5 (which I then trim down farther after stamping and placed in into my MISTI. I grabbed three of my favorite rainbow creating Distress Oxide Inks. I chose the colors Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet. I started by using the Picked Raspberry, and tapping it across the top of the stamp. In order to get a decent blend, I used a microfiber cloth and tapped away some of the ink where I was going to place the Squeezed Lemonade to help get a good blend between the colors. I repeated the process with all the colors.
I then wanted to trim the panel down. I wanted to make sure I really focused on the beautiful colors! So I trimmed it down from 4.25 to 3.5 inches. I left the height the same. In order to fancy it up, I grabbed some Glitzy DCWV Cardstock and added 1/4 of an inch onto either side of my panel. After adding it to the card base I added the sentiment and then I grabbed some of Lucy’s Cards Vellum Sequins for a little added dimension. Love how this card came out!
