Hello! I am coming to you today with brand new cards using the new Floral Centerpiece Embossing Folder from the new Born to Sparkle Release (And oh my goodness, its stunning! Also, Simon Says Stamp did send this folder to me at no obligation to use it, but come on, its beautiful!) I was able to make quite a few cards using this lovely embossing folder and this is my first card up today!
I started by grabbing a beautiful deep plum paper and cut it down to 4.25 X 5.5. Next, I took my Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink and lightly swiped it onto my embossing folder. I make sure to use the side that had the debossed image (nothing raised). After I achieved a good coat, I sent this folder through my Gemini die cutting machine. These embossing folders are on the heftier side, so in order to get a decent image, I use the following sandwich: Magnetic cutting plate (bottom), Embossing Folder, Clear Cutting Plate. I have had really good luck with this method!
After trying to figure out how to use this panel, I had this idea to do a spotlight technique. So after landing on the Etched Eucalyptus Wreath die, I cut a portion of the embossed panel out that would fit almost perfectly within the wreath. I used my Circle Nesting dies. I then added some foam to the back to give it a little dimension. I then needed to add some interest to the background. I recently had received this beautiful Picket Fence Details of a Wing Stencil and decided to try a dry embossing technique. I grabbed my rubber embossing mat and sent up my sandwich and sent it through and LOVED how it came out!
Grabbed my favorite sentiments, this one being from the Reverse Sentiment Miss You. I have many individuals I am missing and while I don’t have a guest room, I do have a lovely couch that I hear is fabulous in a pinch.
Be sure to check this amazing release out and while your at it, shop with me! I will be posting additional cards all week using this beautiful folder.
