Hello! I couldn’t get this stencil out of my head quite yet. So I grabbed some supplies and dove back in!
I grabbed so deep rich purple cardstock and started with inking up the Love Is background stamp with versamark ink. I stamped it and decided to leave it, without adding any embossing powder. Next, I grabbed my Painted Flowers Wreath stencil and sponged Delicata Golden Glitz Pigment Ink on to the dried background. I used my Pixie Spray to ensure that the stencil stuck to the cardstock. After inking it up, I left the stencil on and sprinkled on some SSS Antique Gold Embossing Powder. I left the stencil on because I knew the versmark from the background stamp was still tacky and I wanted to avoid the powder getting all over.
After heating the powder, to a beautiful finish, I removed the stencil and set to work layering the beautiful splatter. I used Tonic ANTIQUE GOLD Nuvo Mica Mist. The spray portion had clogged many many moons ago, but I actually find I have better results taking the cap off and tapping the straw on my finger. I repeat dipping it back in until I get the desired amount. Next, I used my Black Soot Distress Oxide to splatter black all over by smooshing it onto my Tim Holtz Mixed media platform and used water to thin it. Gluing everything together, I cut out 3 Just Because dies and added some Wink of Stella to finish it off!
Here are some more cards I made using the Painted Flower Wreath Stencil!
