SSS – Hello Beautiful Ink Blend

This Mix and Match stencil is so versatile! I did a ink layering with three colors of distress oxide inks. I used the new color Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade, and Peacock Feathers. I rotated the stencil to have ink layering, as well as the colors by them selves and I am super happy how it turned out. I added a Simon Says Stamp die called Bright Blossoms, a reverse sentiments from the Union of Love pack and some iridescent pearls to complete the look!

SSS – Hello Beautiful Ink Blend

I am here today sharing a new product from the Hello Beautiful release called Mix and Match Circle Stencil. I had so much fun using this stencil to create quite a few different cards for this week! I never use to be a stencil girl, but lately Simon Says Stamp has managed to broaden my horizons when they send me stencils to play with.

This card is MAGICAL. I pulled out some products that I haven’t had the chance to play with lately and went. to. town!

I started with a Jessica Frost Ballas and her lovely #allthesparkleblends located here. If you need a new color combo, Jessica has so many options! I went for the Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass. I started with tumbled glass and worked my way to Blue print sketch.

After the blend, I let it dry for most of the day (because I had to attend to the children) and when I had another moment, I came back added the sparkle!

First, I used Pixie Spray on the back on the Mix and Match Circle Stencil to make sure that it adhered to my blended background with no issues. No one likes a lifted stencil! Once I stuck it to the background, I broke out my Vicki Boutin iridescent texture paste and used my Stencil Pal to evenly distribute it over my card stock.

I finished it up with a Happy Birthday die cut, the back layer I used vellum and then main words I uses SSS Holographic Paper.

SSS – Just Miss You Card 3

This Hello patterned paper spoke to me! its such a beautiful color blend, beckoning to be used. So I cut it down and glued it to a card front, then went to work adding the rest.

Its a pretty simple card. I wanted the patterned paper to really shine, so I used a Big Hello die from Simon Says Stamp cut out of some gold cardstock, that I stacked on 3 white die cuts to lift it up and make it pop.

After gluing those together, I twirled some off white thread around my fingers and then strategically laid it so that it had the ends tucked and some good circle action occurring.

I then used the Miss You from the Just Miss You set to finish the card off. Super simple!

SSS – Just Miss You card 2

I made a second card from the Just Miss You card kit from Simon Says Stamp!

I feel in love with the patterned hour paper and instantly thought about my family that lives across the US. Seeing the cloud included in the Just Miss You stamp set, I had a vision off those houses on cliffs in Europe, with the clouds floating into your vision.

I took the clouds and stamped them in Gina K Amalgam Ink and then fussy cut them out. I layered them in hopes to look like I had multiple different clouds, when in reality, I only had 2!

Then I grabbed the “wish you lived closer” sentiment from the set and added it to a sliver of Peacock paper from Simon Says Stamp. Dressed it up with some red hearts using the Hearts and Stars die and glossy accents to finish it off!

Do you have family that you are missing these days?

SSS – Just Miss You Card

Boy, am I late to this card kit! Having a little one in July made it difficult for me to get crafty. But no worries! The nice thing about Simon Says Stamp’s Card Kits is that most of the supplies can be purchased individually (if still available). I also made my FIRST Slim Line card! Its not a common size, as I I was trying to math (first problem) and got off. The final card dimensions ended up being 3 X 7 inches.

All the cards I made with this kit used the included Vicki Boutin patterned paper (which is currently not available and I am SO SAD! I loved the papers in this kit). The Just Miss You set is perfect, especially since we are still dealing with social distancing.

I picked out three matching distress oxide inks to blend on the Sending Smiles die cut. I used Abandoned Coral, Ripe Persimmon and Cracked Pistachio. I cut out a couple additional die cuts to pop it up!

I’m really happy with how this card came together! I’ll either have to make a custom envelope or hand the card to someone.
